Biography

Pranav focuses his multifaceted practice on all aspects of litigating matters involving copyrights, trademarks, and patents. He also handles related legal issues in contracts, civil procedure, brand protection, and patent and trademark prosecution. His litigation experience also includes photography and film. Pranav represents clients in state and federal courts.

Pranav has a background in music, which allows him to connect with artists and other creative individuals to assist them in achieving their intellectual property goals, encouraging them to create and innovate by protecting their works through their intellectual property rights. Similarly, Pranav’s chemical engineering degree and work experience give him a unique understanding and appreciation of inventors’ need for patents for their intellectual property.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a photographer in a large-scale copyright infringement suit involving more than 30 individuals and companies that were impermissibly using the client's high-quality photography albums of an American musician's Connecticut home.
  • Represented a four-time Grammy Award recipient and showbusiness veteran in a copyright infringement suit involving the use of the client's musical compositions for a Broadway musical.
  • Represented a technology company in a patent infringement suit against an American ticket sales and distribution company involving the company's online ticket purchasing system.
  • Represented a high-resolution stock photography company in a large-scale infringement suit involving dozens of impermissible users of the client's photographic works by supermarkets across the United States.
