Meghan primarily concentrates her practice on matters involving estate planning, asset protection, and Medicaid planning. She has extensive experience preparing estate planning documents, officiating the signing of estate- and asset-protection documents, and completing Medicaid applications from the initial application through the final decision. Meghan also administers non-contested small and large estates.

Representative Experience

  • Counseled clients through the transfer of assets and real estate into an income-only grantor trust to preserve assets from the high cost of long-term care.
  • Prepared a petition for the appointment of a guardian in a guardianship proceeding for a disabled individual.
  • Prepared objections of accounting for a client's parents' two trusts and his mother's estate.
  • Prepared an ancillary probate petition for property in New York State.
  • Reconciled the accounting of a $200,000 estate for distribution.
