Biography

The founder and CEO of family-based investment firm Gioia Capital, LLC with a background in commercial litigation and corporate law, Richard handles business development activities for Barclay Damon. 

At Gioia Capital, Richard focuses on identifying investment opportunities for businesses with annual revenues between $5 million and $50 million, working with owners to structure investments and buyouts and collaborating with stakeholders to develop meaningful value-creation strategies for enhanced performance following acquisition. 

Richard is also the former managing member of Lorraine Capital, LLC, where he oversaw multiple investments in Northeastern and Upstate NY companies over a six-year period. He remains an owner in all Lorraine Capital companies.
