Siobhan primarily concentrates her practice on civil litigation, defending commercial claims in state and federal court. She has successfully represented clients in defending matters involving wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, professional liability, products liability, municipal liability and construction accident claims as well as insurance coverage disputes. In her practice, Siobhan also handles labor and employment litigation and has experience representing clients in a variety of employment-related matters in federal and state court, including employment discrimination and wrongful termination suits.

Siobhan handles all aspects of litigation including routinely counseling clients on pre-suit negotiations, regularly conducting depositions, drafting and responding to discovery, dispositive motions, pretrial motions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. She has appeared at trial, mediation, commercial arbitration, and hearings, and has argued motions before state and federal courts. As an experienced civil litigator, she also has experience working on employment law, real estate disputes, and complex business litigation.

In addition to her own practice, Siobhan serves as a member of the firm's Next Generation Committee.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a university in an arbitration involving a former professor's grievance that his notice of non-renewal was untimely and that he was entitled to another three-year contract. After nearly a four-day arbitration, we successfully obtained an arbitration award in favor of the university denying the former professor's grievance.
  • Defended an international employer and its employee against claims of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, hostile work environment, and wrongful termination in retaliation for reporting the discriminatory conduct brought by former employee.
  • Obtained summary judgment and affirmed on appeal concerning insurance coverage dispute of condominum property.
  • Obtained dismissal of complaint for professional liability coverage on behalf of client insurer based on a late notice of claims-made and reported insurance policy.
  • Represented commercial property owner of luxury condominiums in multi-day mediation over purchase and sale agreement dispute.
  • Successfully defeated Anti-SLAPP motion to dismiss on behalf of client insurer concerning M.G.L. 93A damages.
  • Obtained case dismissal with prejudice of emploment discrimination matter filed in federal court on plaintiff’s failure to make discovery.
  • Represented national manufacturing company in muti-party products liability litgiation arising from property damage and personal injury.
  • Represented Errors and Omissions insurance carrier on coverage issues in connection with insured’s bankrtuptcy proceedings.
