Property Tax & Condemnation Associate (Albany, Boston, Buffalo, New Haven, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, or Washington DC)

Barclay Damon LLP, a leading regional law firm of nearly 300 attorneys that operates from a strategic platform of offices located in Albany, Boston, Buffalo, New Haven, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, Washington DC, and Toronto, is seeking an associate to support its Property Tax & Condemnation Practice Area. Location in our Buffalo or Syracuse office is preferred but not required for the position.

Candidates should have at least one to three years of experience as a practicing attorney in the areas of real property, tax, or litigation. Experience handling real property tax litigation, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain matters will be highly regarded but is not necessary. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New York State and have strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $145,000.

This salary range represents the firm’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for the position and does not include performance- or merit-based bonuses or other benefits offered by the firm. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, skill set, and office location.
