Tim Green in the Spotlight: Living With ALS and New York Times Bestselling Book Final Season

Tim Green, of counsel, was featured in several articles and videos about his ALS diagnosis and his new book, Final Season. Final Season reached number one on the New York Times Children’s Middle Grade Hardcover bestseller list for the week of October 3, 2021.

Tim’s interviews explore how ALS has affected his life, specifically that he now uses a ventilator to breathe, a tablet with eye-tracking technology to communicate, uses a motorized wheelchair to get around, and eats and drinks through a feeding tube. In his interview with Syracuse.com’s Nate Mink, Tim says life is “Difficult. But awesome.”

Final Season, one of Tim’s most personal books thus far, is a middle-grade novel based on true events from Green’s life and his youngest son’s final youth football season three years ago. Tim and his two older sons coached the team. The book is written from the perspective of 12-year-old Ben and doesn’t shy away from family controversy.

To fight ALS and support ALS research, Tim would like people to join him and make a donation through Tackle ALS or buy a copy of Final Season, all the proceeds of which go to Tackle ALS.
