Barclay Damon Listed as Top Area Firm For Immigration Matters in Buffalo Business First

Barclay Damon was recently listed as one of the top 12 Buffalo-area law firms for immigration matters in Buffalo Business First's article "Buffalo-Area Immigration Lawyers See Range of Issues Stemming From Washington."

In the same article, Immigration Practice Area attorneys Gretchen Aylward, of counsel, and Melle Fabian, associate, were quoted together, providing insight on pressing immigration issues that have largely stemmed from the current Washington DC administration.

"We're seeing much higher scrutiny in connections with applications for work authorization, particularly in regard to Canadians seeking temporary work authorization in the United States. There has also been a substantial increase in requests for additional evidence on pending applications, and in denials of applications. As a result, we're advising our clients to take extra precaution while being interviewed . . . and to make sure they maintain proper status in the United States."
