Allen Underwood II Featured in Law360 Pulse Article About Joining Barclay Damon

Allen Underwood II, partner, was featured in the Law360 Pulse article “Barclay Damon Adds Ex-Lite DePalma Bankruptcy Chair” about joining Barclay Damon’s New York City office. The article provided background on Allen’s legal experience and included his motivations for transitioning to Barclay Damon.

Allen said, “Barclay Damon has a very developed sense of the critical interaction among practice areas regarding restructuring, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, corporate work and commercial litigation and complex trials.” He continued, “I am very happy to be a part of those practice areas — which have been the keystones of my own practice for over 25 years. This seamless interaction in the service of clients cannot be emphasized enough — and it is a core element of both Barclay Damon's firm-wide ethos, and my own.”

The article also included details about Barclay Damon’s expansion efforts, citing the recent hire of Michael McGovern, also resident in the firm’s New York City office. Connie Cahill, managing partner, said, “For over two decades, Barclay Damon has been successfully pursuing a disciplined expansion strategy involving hiring in key practice areas throughout its platform of offices in major and smaller markets. During that time, the firm’s signature lateral recruitment and integration program has increased the firm from 50 to nearly 300 attorneys.”
