Barclay Damon's Boston Office Expansion and New Haven Office Renovation Featured in Law360 Pulse and The Daily Record

Barclay Damon was featured in recent coverage by Law360 Pulse and The Daily Record highlighting the firm’s expansion of its Boston office and relocation of its New Haven office to modern, larger spaces designed to support continued growth and collaboration. The updates reflect the firm’s strategic investment in key major markets and its focus on enhancing the client and attorney experience through flexible workspaces, advanced technology, and improved amenities.

Lizz Acee, the firm’s managing director of major markets, emphasized the scale of the growth and the drivers behind it, noting that the Boston office nearly doubled in size to approximately 12,000 square feet, expanding “from 14 offices and four admin spots to 21 offices and six admin spots.” She also highlighted increased efficiency in New Haven, where a redesigned space expanded capacity from 19 to 26 offices. Lizz underscored that these changes are driven by attorney demand, explaining that “our lawyers—both partners and associates—by and large, want to come into the office,” adding that the firm is “unique” in continuing to grow its footprint to support a largely in-office environment.

Lizz further pointed to sustained growth across the firm’s platform, noting that the New Haven office “simply outgrew” its prior space as headcount increased and that similar trends in Boston and New York City required expanded footprints. She explained that, post-pandemic, the firm has needed additional space “to accommodate my lawyers and their desire to go back to mostly an in-office environment,” reinforcing Barclay Damon’s commitment to collaboration and long-term investment in its physical offices.

Managing Partner Connie Cahill framed the expansions as a natural extension of the firm’s broader momentum, stating, “These changes represent an important step forward as we continue to invest in our major-market offices and build on the strong momentum we’ve achieved in Boston and New Haven.” She added, “Our growth in these markets reflects both the strength of our platform and the success we’ve had attracting talented attorneys who are committed to delivering outstanding results for our clients,” positioning the firm’s continued expansion as both a reflection of its success and a driver of future growth.
