David Burch Interviewed by Politico

David Burch, partner, was featured in the Politico article “Energy Retailers Face Off Against Regulators Before State Court of Appeals” regarding his representation of the Retail Energy Suppliers Association before the NYS Court of Appeals, arguing that the Public Service Commission cannot control the rates retailers charge customers.

“People have ... made business decisions and invested in a lot of money in New York,” Burch said. “This court has long recognized that competition is a fundamental policy of the state ... and when a market is opened up and there’s competition, it should be allowed to continue and prosper.”
