Dena DeFazio, counsel at Barclay Damon and a SUNY Brockport Class of 2011 alumna, shared how her experience in the Women and Gender Studies Program helped shape her legal career in an “Alumni Check-In” video. Dena focuses her legal practice on advising health care and human service industry providers on regulatory and compliance issues and not-for-profit organizations on board governance and transactional matters.
Dena’s time in SUNY Brockport’s Women and Gender Studies Program has impacted every aspect of her career. She said, “I found the class ‘Gender, Race, and Class’ to be particularly meaningful, as it helped me to develop a more nuanced view of the world around me and the people I interact with.”
