Gabrielle Figueroa Interviewed for Energy Dispatch Article

Gabrielle Figueroa, counsel, was interviewed by Laura Brown, shareholder at Liskow & Lewis, for the Energy Dispatch article “Young Energy Professional Highlight Gabrielle ‘Gabby’ Figueroa, Barclay Damon.” The Energy Dispatch is the Institute for Energy Law’s young energy professional newsletter.

The article, which is a Q&A between Gabrielle and Laura, covers Gabrielle’s practice, advice she has for attorneys wanting to expand their practice to the utilities or regulatory space, her experience participating in IEL’s virtual Leadership Class, and more.

About getting into the utilities or regulatory space, Gabrielle said, “Wherever you are on the political spectrum, I think it is important as practitioners in this space to stay up to speed on political decisions being made in the energy arena. I keep informed on legislation, changes to regulations, decisions from regulatory commissions and direction from the state’s executive branch. To respond to the ever-changing political climate, energy companies need to be creative, flexible and innovative, and it’s our job to make sure our clients have the best information possible so they can make well-informed decisions.”
