Jason Klimek Featured in Buffalo Business First Article on Applications for Cannabis Licenses

Jason Klimek, Cannabis Team co-leader, was featured in the Buffalo Business First article “SLA Solutions, Barclay Damon Among Firms Making Early Move Into the Cannabis Biz” about the increased volume of calls and emails from potential cannabis retailer licensees to area attorneys. Businesses are getting ready for New York State to begin accepting license applications for cannabis retailers.

Jason said, “We are currently screening potential clients, the volume of which ebbs and flows, seemingly when there’s news out of Albany. We expect the volume to increase when we see draft regulations.”

New York State isn’t expected to begin accepting license applications for cannabis retailers until next year.
