Jason Klimek Featured in WXXI News Connections With Evan Dawson Episode

Jason Klimek, Cannabis Team co-leader, was interviewed on Connections With Evan Dawson “Understanding Cannabis Law in NYS” about gifting cannabis in New York State. CITY Magazine reporter Gino Fanelli recently bought a $65 T-shirt at HempSol, a CBD store in Henrietta, New York, and received an eighth of an ounce of cannabis as a “gift.” Sales of recreational cannabis remain illegal in New York State; however, recreational use of cannabis is legal, and it is legal to transfer up to three ounces of cannabis from one person to another without compensation. In the episode, Jason, Gino, and Evan discuss what a retail infrastructure should look like, what the law says about what’s happening now, and what’s next for retailers in New York. They also examine cannabis law and the future of the recreational cannabis market.
