CITY Magazine reporter Gino Fanelli recently bought a $65 T-shirt at HempSol, a CBD store in Henrietta, New York, and received an eighth of an ounce of cannabis as a “gift.” Sales of recreational cannabis remain illegal in New York State; however, recreational use of cannabis is legal, and it is legal to transfer up to three ounces of cannabis from one person to another without compensation.
