Jason Klimek Named to 2023 amNY Metro and PoliticsNY Cannabis Industry Power Players

Jason Klimek, Cannabis Team co-leader, was named to the 2023 amNY Metro and PoliticsNY Cannabis Industry Power Players. The list “seeks to honor those leading the cannabis industry into the future” and includes “leaders in government and business” who have “championed social equity, working hard to ensure that small and minority-owned businesses have equal access to licenses and funding, while also driving innovation within the industry.”

As part of being named to the 2023 Cannabis Industry Power Players, Jason answered a few questions.

Where do you see the cannabis industry in New York 10 years from now?

“Because of the mandates in the [Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act], New York will create a lot of successful small and midsize businesses and social equity owners. This approach should lead to a robust ecosystem that can create generational wealth for participants, particularly those from communities impacted by cannabis prohibition, as well as thousands of new jobs, and innovations in the cannabis industry.”
