Lauren Wachtler Quoted in Brooklyn Daily Eagle

Lauren Wachtler, partner, was quoted in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle article “Wachtler Veterans Memorial Fund Established to Support Civil Legal Services for Veterans.” Lauren and her father, former Chief Judge Sol Wachtler, spearheaded the initiative to establish the Wachtler Veterans Memorial Fund, which is focused on providing civil legal services through the New York Bar Foundation’s grant partners and helping veterans obtain the resources and benefits they have earned through their service to our country.

The fund has personal ties for Lauren and her father. She said, “My father, a Korean War veteran, played a pivotal role many years ago in establishing the first Veterans Court to support veterans transitioning back to civilian life who found themselves facing unique personal challenges, including mental health and legal problems. Our fund is one way that we continue my father’s unwavering commitment to assisting veterans and their families who deserve to be heard and helped.”
