Media Coverage for Tim Green: Thriving With ALS, Podcast, and Latest Book

Tim Green, of counsel at Barclay Damon, New York Times-bestselling author, former NFL defensive end, and former FOX Sports broadcaster, was featured in several articles and videos about how AI tech has helped him regain his voice after losing it to ALS. He also discussed hosting Nothing Left Unsaid with his son Troy; his faith; raising money for ALS research and causes; and his newest book, Rocket Arm, which was released on September 23, 2025.

In an interview with The Athletic, Tim spoke about the AI-simulated version of his own voice created by ElevenLabs. He said, “I didn’t know it was really possible until Troy showed me. We had recorded our first episode [of Nothing Left Unsaid], and Troy told me that he was going to try a new voice in the edits. He seemed excited about it, but I couldn’t believe it when I heard it. I thought I might not hear my voice ever again. ALS is a cruel disease. It robs its victims of so much, and your voice is as personal as it gets.”

Rocket Arm is an action-packed middle-grade novel that draws from Tim’s personal experiences, highlighting the importance of family, community, and love of football while also cautioning against the risks of the sport. It’s the third book Tim has written entirely using eye-tracking technology.
