NYSBA Honors Sharon Brown and Kaitlyn McClaine at 34th Annual President's Pro Bono Service Awards

The New York State Bar Association will honor Sharon Brown, opportunity, inclusion, and belonging partner, and Kaitlyn McClaine, associate, at the 34th annual President’s Pro Bono Service Awards on Law Day. The awards recognize lawyers who have made an exceptional commitment to serving the public good.

Sharon will receive the Attorney Professionalism Award, presented annually by the Committee on Attorney Professionalism, for her commitment to integrity, fairness, and the highest ethical standards. At Barclay Damon, NYSBA noted, Sharon “. . . balances her corporate finance practice with building and strengthening the workforce at her firm. Brown expanded the summer associate program, building a diverse group of young lawyers who went on to join the firm and further diversify its ranks. She has built a culture of mentorship with her kindness, positive energy and commitment to others.” Click here to read Sharon’s profile.

Kaitlyn will receive the President’s Pro Bono Award for the Fourth Judicial District, which is comprised of New York’s Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Montgomery, St. Lawrence, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington Counties. About Kaitlyn, NYSBA said, “Kaitlyn McClaine balances her insurance and transportation law practice in the capital region with a passion for pro bono work on behalf of women and immigrants. McClaine prevailed in a zoning case on behalf of an elderly widow in Warren County, saving her client from fines of $750,000.”
