Aerospace Engineer and Patent Lawyer, Barry Manna, Joins Hiscock & Barclay in Syracuse

Syracuse, New York – November 18, 2014 – Hiscock & Barclay, LLP welcomes intellectual property lawyer, Barry F. Manna, as Of Counsel in the Syracuse office.

Manna is a registered patent attorney and will be a member of the firm's Patents & Prosecution Practice Area. Manna brings over a decade of experience in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters to the firm. Prior to joining Hiscock & Barclay, he was a senior associate at Harris Beach PLLC, where he worked with business leaders to develop and execute global patent strategies aligned with client's products and services. In that capacity, he also served as consulting in-house intellectual property counsel for a corporate client with global operations and an extensive international patent portfolio. Manna was also an intellectual property attorney for Majama Muldoon Blasiak and Sullivan LLP, McCormick Paulding and Huber LLP, and United Technologies Corporation.

Manna received his law degree from Western New England College School of Law. Prior to becoming an attorney, Manna graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in mechanical engineering and worked for United Technologies Corp. in the aerospace industry as a development engineer on propulsion and fuel cell systems.

He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
