Alciati, Ireland and Lydford Join Hiscock & Barclay Law Firm

W. Cook Alciati and Robert J. Lydford Join the Syracuse office and Meredith Ireland Joins the Albany office of Hiscock & Barclay, LLP as Associates.

W. Cook Alciati focuses his practice on legal services for corporate clients, including labor and employment and commercial litigation. He is a 2009 graduate of Villanova University School of Law, and Associate Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. Alciati is also a 2009 graduate of the University of Edinburgh, with an L.L.M in Innovation Technology and the Law, and a finalist in the Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition. He received his B.A. from Loyola College in 2006. Alciati was a Judicial Intern on the Superior Court of Pennsylvania under Judge Richard B. Klein in 2007 as well as a summer Law Clerk at the Firm in 2008; his admittance to the New York State Bar Exam is pending.

Meredith Ireland concentrates her practice in the area of Torts and products liability defense. She is a 2009 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, magna cum laude, and is a 2004 graduate of Rollins College, magna cum laude. Ireland was a summer Law Clerk at Hiscock & Barclay in 2008; she has also been a legal intern with Robert Milne & Associates, PA, X-Ray Optical Systems, and the Albany Federal Public Defender's Office. Her admission to the New York State Bar is pending.

Robert Lydford focuses his practice in the area of torts and products liability defense. He is a 2009 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, magna cum laude, and a 2004 Masters in Business Management graduate from SUNY IT. Lydford is a 1992 graduate of Arizona State University, summa cum laude. He is a member of the American Bar Association. Lydford was a summer Law Clerk at Hiscock & Barclay in 2008; he has also served as a Law Clerk in the Corporation Counsel office for the City of Rome and the City of Utica, and was a Medical Specialist and Sergeant for the New York Army National Guard. His admission to the New York State Bar is pending.
