Attorneys Frances Ciardullo and Kevin Barone Join Barclay Damon

January 8, 2018"”Frances A. Ciardullo and Kevin A. Barone have joined Barclay Damon. Ciardullo is special counsel in the Health Care & Human Services Practice Area. Barone is an associate in the Real Estate and Financial Institutions & Lending Practice Areas. Both attorneys are based in the law firm's Syracuse office and will provide guidance to Barclay Damon clients across the firm's platform.

Ciardullo advises clients on health care and risk management issues, counseling hospitals and health systems, nursing homes, physicians, physician groups, dentists, and other providers on professional misconduct, professional liability, medical staff issues, scope of practice, mandated reporting, peer review, and medical device matters. She handles consent for treatment and surrogate decision making, patient care, EMTALA, and health information privacy issues. Ciardullo also litigates medical staff and other health care controversies.

Barone focuses his practice on real estate law and institutional lending. He negotiates and handles real estate acquisitions, sale transactions, and financing of commercial and agricultural properties on behalf of a wide array of clients. Barone also represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing negotiations. He has worked closely with defense, environmental, and intelligence industries and has extensive experience in a variety of contract negotiations.
