January 30, 2018"”Jean S. Everett, a partner and firm-wide leader of Barclay Damon's Financial Services Practice Group, has moved her primary office residency from Washington DC to New York City, effective immediately. This move provides enhanced availability and responsiveness of the firm's Financial Services Practice Group and expanding Public Finance Practice Area to issuers, conduit borrowers, and lenders in New York City.

Everett said, "I am excited to be able to work with clients from our New York City office. Our entire Financial Services Practice Group and Public Finance Practice Area strive to seamlessly serve clients throughout our 11-office platform. I will continue working with clients in Washington DC as well to travel firm-wide in my role as practice group leader to facilitate client-service initiatives and other firm priorities and growth opportunities."

Barclay Damon's Mission Housing & Community Development Industry Group (MHCD) is one current focus area for Everett and members of the Real Estate and Public Finance Practice Areas. The MHCD team assists developers of supportive housing in acquiring property and financing construction of multifamily rental housing throughout New York State and represents issuers and lenders in affordable housing projects funded with tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, and governmental subsidies.

John P. Langan, Barclay Damon's managing partner, said, "We are delighted Jean is able to easily and flexibly make this move, which will help us accommodate increasing client demand for the high-level guidance she and her team provide issuers of tax-exempt bonds and developers, borrowers, and lenders on projects financed with tax-exempt bonds, tax credits and other governmental subsidies. Our firm's full-service bench will continue to support Jean and her team as they partner with clients to navigate the turbulent financial environment."

Everett's move brings the number of attorneys who are resident or practice often in Barclay Damon's New York City office to 12, with many others using the space as needed to serve clients in the area.
