Barclay Damon Attorneys Achieve 100-Percent Pro Bono Participation for Ninth Consecutive Year

One hundred percent of Barclay Damon’s full-time attorneys provided pro bono legal services in 2025 to low-income individuals in need of legal assistance and organizations serving those who seek access to justice.

Working hand in hand with firm paralegals, Barclay Damon has achieved 100-percent pro bono participation every year since 2017 by its full-time attorneys.

“Barclay Damon is deeply committed to providing outstanding pro bono service in the communities where we live and work,” said Jen Leonardi, pro bono partner at Barclay Damon. “For our attorneys to maintain 100-percent participation for nine consecutive years is a significant achievement, especially since this marks our second consecutive year delivering pro bono services valued at more than $1 million, with approximately 150 additional hours over last year and 500 more hours than two years ago.”

Through its multi-award-winning pro bono program, Barclay Damon dedicated more than 2,900 hours—valued at over $1.25 million—to pro bono efforts in 2025. Attorneys and paralegals participated in firm-sponsored family court clinics, litigated civil rights matters, drafted wills for veterans, assisted with clemency applications, supported transgender name-change clinics, and provided online legal assistance through initiatives such as the American Bar Association’s Free Legal Answers program.

The firm’s pro bono work addressed critical legal needs across a wide range of issues, including immigration, housing, women’s rights, prisoners’ rights, community building, and economic development, reinforcing Barclay Damon’s role as a trusted legal partner in its communities.

“Achieving 100 percent participation is always a true team effort,” said Connie Cahill, managing partner of Barclay Damon. “Under Jen Leonardi’s leadership and with the dedication of our attorneys, paralegals, and professional staff, we remain committed to continuing this work in 2026 and beyond. Many individuals in our communities face significant barriers to justice, and we are proud to help provide the representation they deserve.”
