Barclay Damon Gives Back to Community and Celebrates Its 2nd Anniversary by Volunteering in Delaware Park, June 1

May 30, 2017"”Attorneys and staff from Barclay Damon's Buffalo and Clarence offices will spend the afternoon of Thursday, June 1, cleaning, landscaping, and beautifying Buffalo's historic Delaware Park in the area near the Rose Garden and the south side of Hoyt Lake. After completing their assignments, the volunteers will gather on the patio of the new Terrace Restaurant at Marcy Casino for casual celebration.

The event, Buffalo Community Day 2017, benefits the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy (BOPC). Last year's Community Day, also held at Delaware Park for the benefit of BOPC, marked the first anniversary of the merger of two former firms, Hiscock & Barclay and Damon Morey, that created Barclay Damon.

Peter S. Marlette, Barclay Damon's managing director in Buffalo, said, "It has been an outstanding first two years for our firm. We easily overcame a range of challenges, including combining in our Buffalo office more than 100 lawyers and their support staffs into a single unified and cohesive team. I'm proud that this office, which is the firm's largest, takes its role in the community so seriously, and I look forward to seeing our team spirit on display in Delaware Park."

James P. Domagalski, one of the firm's Buffalo marketing partners, said, "Last year's Buffalo Community Day utilized the theme 'Growing Together' in honor of our collective efforts to grow the new firm during our very successful first year. This year we'll continue to honor our work as individuals and as a team to make Barclay Damon a strong and vibrant firm that is poised for even greater growth as we begin our third year."

Because of the priority Barclay Damon places on giving back to the communities served by the firm, each Barclay Damon office sponsors an annual Community Day where attorneys and staff participate in worthy projects to make their communities better. The Buffalo office's Community Day is coordinated by the Buffalo Diversity Leadership Team.

Barclay Damon LLP, listed as a "Top 250 Firm" by The National Law Journal, is a full-service law firm with offices throughout the major cities of New York State and in Toronto, Boston, Washington, DC, and Newark. At 275-lawyers, Barclay Damon is the largest law firm in the Northeastern United States that is not centered in a major market.
