Barclay Damon Strengthens Property Tax and Energy Practice Areas With Addition of Greg Fall

Industry veteran brings decades of energy-sector experience to support clients with complex property tax matters.

Barclay Damon announces that Greg Fall has joined the firm as a senior property tax specialist in its Property Tax & Condemnation and Energy Practice Areas, based in the firm’s Syracuse office.

Fall will support clients in a broad range of real property tax matters, including those involving assessment analysis, valuation issues, tax reporting, property tax projections, and the management of real property tax portfolios. He brings a unique combination of deep financial knowledge and firsthand industry experience gained through spending more than three decades in accounting, finance, and operational leadership roles with companies responsible for managing and operating power generation, transmission, and other critical infrastructure assets. This background strengthens the firm’s ability to help clients evaluate and address property tax issues affecting complex assets.

“Greg’s experience is especially meaningful because it comes directly from the industries our clients operate in every day,” said Brenda Colella, Regulatory Practice Group leader and Regulatory Practice Area co-chair. “He understands the business, operational, and financial considerations facing energy and utility companies, and that perspective will be a tremendous asset to both our team and our clients.”

Rick Capozza, Energy Practice Area chair, added, “Greg has spent his career working alongside organizations that own, manage, and support critical energy infrastructure. His firsthand industry knowledge, combined with decades of financial leadership experience, enhances the practical, business-oriented counsel we provide to clients throughout the energy sector.”

“I've had the opportunity to work closely with companies across the power generation and infrastructure industries for many years,” Fall said. “Joining Barclay Damon allows me to bring that experience to a broader range of clients while working alongside a team that is highly regarded for its regulatory, energy, and property tax capabilities.”
