Hiscock & Barclay Names Two Attorneys to the Partnership

Hiscock & Barclay, LLP announced the promotion of two attorneys to the position of Partner. Reflecting the Firm's diversified platform, the new partners bring a varied range of experiences and perspectives to their areas of practice. The new partners are Matthew J. Larkin (Syracuse) and Scott P. Rogoff (Rochester).

Matthew Larkin is a member of the Torts and Products Liability Defense and Professional Liability Practice Areas and resides in the Firm's Syracuse office. He focuses his practice on complex tort, products liability and professional malpractice litigation. Larkin has extensive jury trial and appellate experience representing individuals and businesses in matters ranging from New York State Labor Law suits and products liability cases to catastrophic personal injury litigation and professional liability claims. He has presented and written on trial tactics and litigation issues and has appeared as a legal commentator and analyst on Court TV. Larkin is a graduate of St. John's University School of Law and Rochester Institute of Technology. He joined the Firm in March 2006 and was previously a partner in the New York City office of Cozen O'Connor. Before that Larkin served as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County, New York.

Scott Rogoff is a civil litigator who focuses his practice in the areas of Labor and Employment Law and Torts and Products Liability Defense, and resides in the Firm's Rochester office. In addition to representing clients in negligence and products liability claims, Rogoff counsels employers regarding day-to-day employment matters, and litigates employment claims before the New York State Division of Human Rights, New York State Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and state and federal courts. He has presented on a variety of labor and employment and civil litigation topics, including, "Laying the Foundation for Strong Employee Relationships and Minimizing Risk," "Anatomy of a Lawsuit," "Labor Law §240, Insurance, Labor and Employment Issues Facing Builders and Contractors," and, most recently, "H1N1 Influenza Pandemic: The Prepared Employer's Perspective." Rogoff is a graduate of Western New England College School of Law, cum laude, and Ithaca College. Before joining the Firm, he worked as a civil litigator in Boston, and clerked in the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General.
