Hiscock & Barclay's Rudnick Named Director of Syracuse University College of Law's Technology Commercialization Law Program

Syracuse, New York - September 17, 2013 - M. Jack Rudnick, Of Counsel with Hiscock & Barclay, LLP, has been appointed Director of the Technology Commercialization Law Program at Syracuse University College of Law.

Rudnick, who leads the Emerging Technology Team at Hiscock & Barclay, has served as Vice President and General Counsel at Welch Allyn and before that at Oneida Ltd. and has been the Senior Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs at Blue Highway.

A graduate of Syracuse University College of Law in 1973, Rudnick has served as an adjunct professor since 1995.

The Technology Commercialization Law Program provides law students with experiential learning in transforming new technologies into market-ready products and services, and brings together second- and third-year law students with real companies and entrepreneurs across the state, according to the school.

"Jack's appointment highlights his skills at helping new technologies and new businesses grow from ideas to real-world market successes," said John P. Langan, Managing Partner at Hiscock & Barclay. "Our firm's 30-lawyer IP practice provides a perfect platform for Jack to leverage his considerable experience representing tech-based companies with his exceptional teaching skills for the benefit of law students interested in learning more about technology and the law."

Rudnick will continue in his role at Hiscock & Barclay. "I look forward to continuing my work," he said. "Maybe I'll get to share some of what I learn from these students."
