Mark T. Whitford Jr. Elected Partner at Barclay Damon

ROCHESTER, NY "” January 6, 2016 "” Barclay Damon, LLP announces the election of Mark T. Whitford, Jr. to partner.

Mr. Whitford is a member of the Insurance Coverage & Regulatory, Torts & Products Liability Defense and Commercial Litigation practice areas and is resident in the firm's Rochester office. He represents national and regional insurers in litigated coverage disputes arising under professional liability and commercial general liability policies, including extracontractual claims. Mr. Whitford's coverage practice is national in nature including, for example, working on the concussion litigation in California involving former NFL and NCAA players. He represents individuals and businesses in a wide-range of commercial, insurance and tort defense matters, including appeals throughout New York and the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Whitford served as an Appellate Court Attorney at the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department.

Mr. Whitford received a B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
