Michael A. David Joins Hiscock & Barclay's Rochester Office

Rochester, New York - August 2, 2013 - Michael A. David has joined Hiscock & Barclay, LLP in the firm's Rochester office as Counsel.

David specializes in patent infringement actions and has represented complainants, respondents, and others in a variety of International Trade Commission investigations. He is a member of Hiscock & Barclay's Intellectual Property Litigation and Branding, Trademark & Copyrights Practice Areas.

David graduated from Cornell University and Cornell Law School, where he served as Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy. He is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining Hiscock & Barclay, David was with Latham & Watkins, LLP in New York and Washington.

Michael has significant trial experience, particularly with patent infringement cases. He has represented three separate companies through trials before the International Trade Commission and in federal district court.

He frequently participates in consultation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding enforcement of ITC exclusion orders. He also represents clients in cases involving trademark and copyright infringement. He has experience with complex commercial technologies including 3G/4G wireless cellular devices, liquid crystal display technology, prosthetic vascular grafts and other medical devices, biometric scanning technology, web analytics software, advertising streaming technology, and satellite-delivered broadband global access networks.

David is active in pro bono matters, where he has represented clients in matters related to litigation involving special education law, applications for political asylum, and applications for child custody.
