Stephen Almy Joins Barclay Damon

Barclay Damon announces Stephen Almy, counsel, has joined Barclay Damon’s Property Tax & Condemnation and Energy Practice Areas. His primary location is the firm’s Albany office.

Almy focuses his practice on complex real property tax and eminent domain litigation, tax certiorari, and other property tax issues, primarily with respect to energy facilities, industrial facilities, and commercial facilities, including shopping centers. In particular, Almy represents energy clients in matters involving the valuation and assessment of energy assets and infrastructure for real property tax purposes and related litigation. He has served as first- and second-chair trial counsel in numerous matters in courts throughout New York State.

Prior to joining Barclay Damon, Almy was an attorney at a boutique law firm in Latham, New York, that focuses on real property tax assessment litigation and eminent domain proceedings. He gained additional experience at law firms in Latham, New York, and Chester, Connecticut.
