"Tax touches every area of law, and I enjoy helping clients navigate the nuances."

Overview

Biography

Mark represents individuals and corporations in tax matters. He has experience with mergers and acquisitions, specifically evaluating state and local tax exposures related to income and non-income tax, and unclaimed property exposures across all 50 states. Common issues within the field involved nexus-generating activities and failure to file state income tax returns, misclassification of products and services for sales tax remittance, unclaimed property and related escheatment, multi-state employment tax withholding, and transfer tax (RETT/CITT) assessments.

Mark is working toward becoming a certified public accountant and formerly was an associate at Big 4 accounting firm KPMG, where he gained experience guiding clients through mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to his practice, Mark serves on the Rochester office Opportunity, Inclusion & Belonging Leadership Team.
