Overview

Biography

Mauricio represents private lenders, institutional investors, developers, and financial institutions in complex real estate transactions. His practice focuses on acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing across various asset classes, including office, retail, mixed-use, multifamily properties, and energy projects nationwide.

Mauricio has successfully negotiated and drafted key transactional documents such as lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan agreements, mortgages, guaranties, SNDAs, tenant estoppel certificates, and easement agreements, including utility and access easements. His deep understanding of due diligence—including title, survey, zoning, and environmental review—ensures smooth transactions and mitigates risk for his clients.

Mauricio has advised institutional lenders in the origination and securitization of CMBS loans, construction financing for hotel and affordable housing developments, and syndicated financing arrangements. He also has experience representing developers in land-use matters, including obtaining zoning and site plan approvals, and advising solar array developers in title-related matters.

In addition to his practice, Mauricio serves on the Rochester office Opportunity, Inclusion & Belonging Leadership Team.
