Janice Grubin Featured in American Bar Association Video on Becoming an LGBTQIA+ Champion

As a 2024 recipient of the American Bar Association (ABA) Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Stonewall Award, Janice Grubin, partner and Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Area co-chair, shared her story about becoming an LGBTQIA+ legal activist in a video produced by the ABA.

In the video, Janice spoke about her work to increase LGBTQIA+ and LGBTQIA+ ally judges on the federal and state benches and serving as a role model, an inspiration, and a mentor to all the people in her community and beyond. She also shared one of her proudest achievements.

Janice said, “Get involved. Make your voice heard. Just because it looks like we have some rights now doesn’t mean they’re going to stay there. . . . Yes it’s great what we have now, but it could disappear in a moment. You have to be vigilant about your rights.”
