Kyra Ganswith Receives NYSBA Honorable Judith Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship

Kyra Ganswith, an associate in Barclay Damon’s Commercial Litigation & Complex Trials and White Collar & Government Investigations Practice Areas, has been selected to receive the Honorable Judith Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship from the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). The scholarship is awarded to up to five women litigators and covers the cost of their registration for a future session of NYSBA’s Commercial Litigation Academy, which is sponsored by the NYSBA Commercial and Federal Litigation (ComFed) Section.

The goal of the scholarship is to increase the number of women prepared to serve as first chair in large-scale commercial litigation. Judge Kaye was the first woman to serve as chief judge of the New York State Court of Appeals—the state’s highest court. She was also the state’s longest serving chief judge.

Kyra and the other Kaye Scholars were presented with their awards at the ComFed Section’s Taking the Lead Program on November 13, 2024. They will also be invited to attend the section’s Annual Meeting and Gala Luncheon on January 16, 2025, in New York City.

Congratulations, Kyra!
