Penny Mason Elected John B. Pierce Laboratory's First Woman Board President

Penny Mason, of counsel, has been elected John B. Pierce Laboratory’s first woman president of the board of directors. The John B. Pierce Laboratory is a not-for-profit, independent research institute that is formally affiliated with Yale University. Penny has been a member of the board of directors for many years and previously served as its vice president.

In the press release announcing Penny’s election and the appointment of a new laboratory director, Pierce Lab’s board director Anthony Scillia stated, “Ms. Mason and Dr. Geibel bring their years of professional excellence to their new positions at Pierce. Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome our first woman board president.”
