Rosanna Berardi Featured in Three ABC News Live Segments on Recent ICE Activity

Rosanna Berardi, immigration counsel at Barclay Damon and managing partner at Berardi Immigration Law, was featured in three ABC News Live segments regarding recent US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) goings-on.

  • “Do You Have to Open Your Door for ICE? Immigration Attorney Answers”: Rosanna discussed what to know during interactions with ICE, including recording video and understanding what a judicial warrant looks like. She advised, “Cooler heads can prevail,” when ICE comes knocking.
  •  “Know Your Rights: What to Do If You Encounter ICE”: Rosanna answered the most-searched questions about interactions with federal ICE agents, including:
    •  Do ICE agents have federal immunity?
    • Do you have to open your door for ICE?
    • Can ICE enter your home without a warrant?
    • Is recording an ICE agent allowed?
  • “What Are the Legal Implications of ICE Actions in Minnesota”: Rosanna explained that some detainees in Minneapolis are being denied access to lawyers as federal authorities prepare for possible troop deployment. Regarding the potential impact, Rosanna said, “I would think at some point the US Supreme Court is going to get involved in this, but that’s not an overnight process or proceeding.”
