Barclay Damon announces Meghan Fahey, partner, has joined Barclay Damon’s Health & Human Services Providers and Health Care Controversies Teams. Her primary office location is Syracuse.
With over 15 years of legal experience in health care law, compliance, and risk management, Meghan represents health care practitioners in regulatory and litigation matters. She is well-versed in a wide variety of health care regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, Stark Law, and HIPAA, among others.
Meghan brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to advocating for her clients. She has served in both in-house and outside counsel roles, giving her unique insight into the challenges faced by health care professionals. She has a proven track record of resolving disputes efficiently and guiding her clients through regulatory investigations, employment contract negotiations, and professional conduct issues as well as representing them in complex litigation.

Most recently, Meghan served as senior vice president of legal and compliance at Mohawk Valley Health System, where she led the organization’s legal, compliance, and risk management teams. In this role, she oversaw major projects, including a hospital merger and relocation, while advising on critical regulatory and operational matters. Meghan has also held corporate counsel positions, where she developed compliance frameworks and advised on multi-state health care regulations.
