Seven Barclay Damon Attorneys Named Empire State Counsel

July 12, 2019—Barclay Damon announces seven attorneys have been named Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association. The designation honors NYSBA members who, during the prior year, performed 50 or more hours of pro bono service. They are Megan Bahas, of counsel (Buffalo); Sharon Brown, partner (New York); Eric Charlton, Restructuring, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Area co-chair (Syracuse); Ross Greenky, associate (Syracuse); Bella Satra, associate (Albany); David Luzon, partner (Buffalo); and Fred Wolf, of counsel (Buffalo).

“We are very proud of these seven attorneys and every other Barclay Damon attorney who generously donates their time and talent to give back to the communities we serve,” Heather Sunser, Barclay Damon’s pro bono partner, said. “Diversity and inclusion are cornerstones in the firm’s philosophy, and we are dedicated to ensuring through our pro bono program that individuals struggling with economic and social barriers have equal access to high-quality legal resources.”

For the past two years, Barclay Damon achieved 100-percent pro bono participation by every one of its full-time attorneys. In 2018, the firm dedicated more than 3,500 hours of time valued at nearly $1 million to pro bono efforts.

Barclay Damon attorneys team across offices and practices to provide customized, targeted solutions grounded in industry knowledge and a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses. With nearly 300 attorneys, Barclay Damon is a leading regional law firm that operates from a strategic platform of offices located in the Northeastern United States and Toronto.
