Three Buffalo-Based Law Clerks Named Associates After Admission to New York State Bar

Barclay Damon announces Brenden Diaz, Alec Herbert, and Madeline Stoklosa have been admitted to the New York State Bar. The former law clerks are now associates at the firm. They are based in the firm’s Buffalo office.

Diaz is a member of the Land Use & Zoning, Energy, and Real Estate Practice Areas. He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Diaz gained experience through law clerk and summer associate positions at Barclay Damon and through an internship with a not-for-profit public interest law firm that provides free legal aid to low-income individuals in Western New York.

Herbert is a member of the Torts & Products Liability Defense, Mass & Toxic Torts, and Professional Liability Practice Areas. He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he was a member of the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review. Herbert gained experience through a summer associate position at Barclay Damon and an internship with the Bar Association of Erie County’s Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Stoklosa is a member of the Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation & Complex Trials Practice Areas. She graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Stoklosa gained experience through a variety of positions, including as a summer associate at Barclay Damon, as a student attorney providing legal services for early-stage entrepreneurs and startups, and as a summer law clerk with the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York.
