Biography

Kaitlyn focuses her practice on insurance coverage disputes, torts, and transportation and cargo defense matters. She defends clients in personal injury, premises liability, and trucking and cargo matters. Kaitlyn has experience briefing and arguing motions before state courts.

Kaitlyn is passionate about giving back to her community, and she focuses her pro bono efforts on protecting women’s reproductive rights and immigrants’ rights.

Experience

Representative Experience

  • Represented an elderly widow who was sued by the Town of Bolton, New York, for zoning code and ordinance violations related to items she had in her yard, with fines and damages totaling over $750,000. Despite the client working diligently to remove the noncompliant items from her yard, the town moved for summary judgment. Kaitlyn secured a stipulation of discontinuance from the town on behalf of the client.
  • Obtained a no-liability judgment for a client in a small claims suit regarding auto coverage.
  • As second chair in a jury trial, obtained a no-liability judgment on behalf of the client.
  • Obtained a partial summary judgment in federal court in a matter involving premises liability.
