Ron’s practice is informed by his background as a nurse leader, which gives him a unique perspective regarding the challenges faced by health care clients. He assists health care and human services providers in a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters, including audits and investigations, self-disclosures, Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement issues, not-for-profit corporate governance, contract analysis and negotiation, and transactional matters.
Ron has experience working with behavioral health providers, home care agencies, hospitals, agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorder providers, and provider networks, including independent practice associations.
Ron also assists clients with health information privacy and security compliance, including drafting privacy and security terms in health care IT contracts and providing guidance regarding cyber risk liabilities and compliance with data privacy laws, such as HIPAA.
