The Capital Green Scene: Tune In Saturday, August 24th

The Capital Green Scene, hosted by Bill Helmer & Brian Nearing, airs every Saturday at 11:00 on WVCR 88.3 FM (The Saint).  This week, I'll be joining Bill Helmer to discuss all things hydrofracking.  Bill and I will talk about where we are in New York today, predictions for moving forward with development, home rule issues and the reason why the current five plus year moratorium on fracking has, to be blunt, gone on too long.  The timing is perfect given President Obama's visit today to Binghamton, NY and Scranton, PA today where he will be met with those for and against fracking and, more importantly, where he will see first hand the sharp difference in communities stuck in economic hard times just waiting for development to get the green light and those experiencing the economic windfall of Marcellus shale development just across the border in Pennsylvania. I hope you'll join Bill and me: http://tunein.com/program/?ProgramId=519859&StationId=23485
