Barclay Damon Live: The Cannabis Counselor, With Aleece Burgio—"Marijuana Regulation Taxation Act (MRTA)"

Aleece discusses the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA), which, if passed, will legalize the production, distribution, and use of marijuana in New York State. As with the CRTA, the MRTA has a provision for a social equity program. However, unlike the CRTA, the MRTA has a provision for home grow. Aleece also discusses the MRTA’s taxation provision, its “problem area,” and its licensing structure. If you haven’t already, listen to Episode 1 and Episode 1, Part 2 for details about the CRTA. As always, we’ll update you with new episodes should additional information about these bills be released.
